Ghana authorities has shut the fake US embassy in capital Accra runned by criminal network which has been operate illegally for
a decade, obtained authentic visas, said US State Department.
The embassy was housed in a run-down, pink two store building with a corrugated iron roof and flew a US flag outside, while inside hang a portrait of President Barack Obama.
The State Department said in a statement on Friday that "it was not operated by the United states government, but by figures from both Ghananian and Turkish organised crime rings and a Ghananian attorney practicing immigration and criminal law."
